‘I am Senior Partner at Hall Smith Whittingham LLP, Crewe and Nantwich, and Chair of the Resolution Domestic Abuse committee. I am committed to enabling my clients to obtain the best outcomes for their families in as constructive a way as possible.

I am a Solicitor-Advocate and Resolution Accredited Specialist in Domestic Abuse and Advocacy in private law children proceedings. I have been representing domestic abuse sufferers and perpetrators in legal proceedings since 1980 and am the author of Domestic Abuse: Practice and Precedents published by the Law Society.

I am also an Accredited Family Mediator and have a particular interest in screening for domestic abuse and dealing with issues of domestic abuse in mediation.

I enjoy being able to pass on what I have learnt over the years. I am a lead trainer for Resolution and have also presented training on Domestic Abuse for the Family Mediation Council, the Family Justice Council, and other organisations.’
