Ann trained as a family mediator in 2004 and qualified in Direct Consultation with Children in 2009. She worked with The Mediation Centre Stafford mediation team for some 8 years. She is passionate about mediation because she believes it has the power to transform family situations and make a real difference to the lives of children. Prior to becoming a Family Mediator Ann was employed as an academic Psychologist in the University sector for many years and retains links in research and teaching.
As well as lecturing in Higher Education she has taught a diverse range of adults and children in Further Education and in schools. She has worked as a Chartered Psychologist with parents and their children focussing upon Developmental and Educational issues. She is a staff development consultant, a trainer and serves on various Educational and Accreditation Boards at a local and National Level. Freelance work for the Ministry of Justice as a Panel Chair during the last 6 years has involved her in making a significant contribution to the recruitment of the Judiciary in England and Wales.
She is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of a local building society – a challenging role which she much enjoys. Ann likes gardening, walking, singing, antiques, décor and laughing.
